Developed for truck and bus service, the AFS Gs-series injector provides fast, precise metering of gaseous fuels (CNG, LCNG and LPG). Its unique design couples high flow capability with a patented fast-response valve mechanism. A specially-engineered polymer seal avoids the wear problems associated with metal-to-metal sealing surfaces, resulting in superior durability even in dry gas applications.
Previously, high horsepower engines required up to 12 light-duty injectors -- they can now be replaced by 3 or 4 of our Gs units – each flowing 2 to 3 times more than common automotive injectors. For the customer, this means a reduced parts count, less plumbing, smaller injector manifolds, less-expensive electronics, and simpler wiring harnesses – all leading to lower cost and improved reliability.
A distinguishing feature of the Gs series is its superior dynamic range. Also known as “turn-down ratio”, dynamic range refers to the injector’s ability to deliver high flow when required without compromising precise metering during idle and low-flow conditions. The result? – fewer injectors for the same horsepower.
Other key advantages are the Gs’ inherent self-cleaning design and positive sealing when the engine is stopped.
